Black Friday is the name for the day after Thanksgiving. What it means to the visitors in Orlando is an opportunity to bag some of the greatest bargains of the year!Of course, its a pretty surreal sight. I mean, imagine the scene. You’re walking through a mall at (in my case) 5 am. There are hundreds of cars in the parking lot and few spaces to be found. Some are waiting for a space to be vacated by the fanatical shoppers that came at 1 am!Surreal. Five am in a mall that’s crowded. People with bag after bag of ‘stuff’. Crazy prices. 60% and 70% off – if you come in before 10 am – the normal store opening time.Anyway, most people are having a good time – its a holiday weekend. The coffee shops are open for the designated drivers to take refuge in between ferrying bags back to the car!Others stay behind in the luxury of their spacious vacation rental – tucked up in bed. That’s one of the benefits of a vacation rental when you visit the Orlando area. You have space and that gives you options. There were not so many children out shopping at 5am – they were home in bed. Its the same when you have a vacation rental – you can leave your kids behind with Dad so they are in as good a mood as you are when you get back! You didn’t wake them up as you tripped over the end of the bed as you would if you were shoe-horned into a motel room. Sure its cheaper – a little- but where will you put the shopping when you get back?There’s no doubt that our guests love the freedom and flexibility of their vacation rental homes near Disney and these are just a few of the advantages! They keep coming back for more year after year!
