Most digital SLR cameras will only have about seven or eight automatic modes at their disposal, but the D7000 takes things to a whole new level with 19 additional scene modes to choose from (Figure 3.5). Nikon has anticipated many of the typical shooting scenarios that you will
encounter and created scene modes that are optimized for those situations. We’re going to focus on a few of the most popular modes in detail, but first, here’s how to find them.
Using scene modes
- Set the Mode dial to the Scene setting.
- Press the i or Info button to turn on the information screen on the back of the camera.
- Rotate the Command dial until the appropriate scene appears on the information screen.
